Breaking in the New Kia - by having the roof cleaner cover it in moss

So a guy came around to the house this morning offering his services of roof and gutter cleaning. The price was right, so Mark jumped on it and put him to work right away. However, he failed to advise us to move the cars out of the driveway and within minutes, my brand new Kia was covered in moss, gritty bits of tile roof, and sludge from the gutter. Talk about pissed! So I headed down the hill to the carwash and it cleaned right up, but seriously....the Sedona isn't even 24 hours old and it already looked like it's been through a terrible Oregon winter storm. So not happy.

I haven't figured out the settings yet either. The key fob is backwards, so if I think I'm opening of the driver's side sliding door, it opens up the passenger slider instead. And I think the car has to be unlocked first to get the door open, so a minor nuisance of getting the kids into the car, but if I can train myself on how to get that key fob used correctly, it might just be a non-issue.

The other crab so far is that I haven't been able to get the seat adjusted properly. It's amazing the muscle memory that goes into driving because my body is rebelling at not having the seat properly fitted to drive.

I do love the depth of the windshield - it has more glass than the Buick or the Chevy Venture we owned before it - and it opens up a lot more visibility in the road. I can also see more out of the back windows, which is great too because I tend to look over my shoulders to clear the passing/merging lanes than the sideview mirrors, so more viewing visibility out those back windows is a bonus.

Off to take the whole family on a quick trip to Toys R Us - we'll see what the kids think - it will be the first outing in the new Kia!
